Play Parties at the Yacht Club

I found out from Constance that she hosted monthly play parties at the Yacht Club in Jefferson, NJ. Pretty far off the beaten path but with paved roads, not quite “Deliverance”, but torn from the pages of "Weird New Jersey". The Yacht club must have been a reception venue – it was made up of 2 large banquet rooms, each with a bar and  a dance floor. One to the left, one to the right. The room to the left operated as a gay dance club. On the right were the private play parties. Bathrooms, in the middle, were shared by both sides.

     Constance hosted the parties personally, bringing toys and equipment to  give demonstrations, and conducting group activities. She would call for volunteers to act as subs and be played with by the group. It was a great sales technique, and also a lot of fun.

I remember a transvestite who wandered in from the gay bar and  became a regular and more than once was a plaything for a group of 20 or so people. I was a “first on the dance floor “ type  so I was always raising my hand to volunteer and jump into the fray. I was sub ,Dom, played with men and women, tried it all. They served alcohol so there was no full nudity, only topless, allowed.  Which made it more comfortable for newcomers, and had other plus sides. The play parties were just that. And you would get a feel  for a toy and visit the shop to buy it…

     You must remember that when the internet was starting out everyone was on aol, dial-up, homes had ONE computer , that the whole family shared, in the living room. If you were on the computer no one could use the phone. If you wanted a web site you had to buy a domain name and pay a host.The Dark Ages.

     So play parties were a good place to meet new people. You could chat online and then meet up at a party. The other people there had been to the shop,it was all word of mouth.It was loads of fun and I met a lot of people with a variety of kinks and different levels of commitment. They were also awesome foreplay
